The attorneys in our Labor Relations and Employment Law Groups represent clients in both public and private sectors.

In the public sector, we represent unions in all aspects of labor relations, and judicial and administrative labor litigation. We assist our union clients in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, as well as in contract mediation and interest arbitration.  We also represent our clients and their members in contract grievances, improper practice charges and disciplinary matters.  Our union attorneys also act as general and legislative counsel on a multitude of issues affecting unions and public sector employees with respect to their respective state and local governmental municipalities.

Well-known for our representation of municipal unions and labor organizations in New York City and Long Island, our list of clients includes, but is not limited to, the Uniformed Firefighters Association of Greater New York, the New York City Assistant Deputy Wardens/Deputy Wardens Association, and the Suffolk County Police Superior Officer’s Association, as well as many Police Benevolent Associations.  Our attorneys practice before various governmental agencies, including the New York State Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), the New York City Office of Collective Bargaining (OCB), and in all state and federal courts.

For the private sector, we advise in regard to claims alleging discrimination based upon race, sex, religion, national origin, age and disability, as well as sexual harassment, wage, hour and overtime law, labor relations, and management/union issues. Our lawyers practice before federal and state courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, labor arbitrators and mediators, and state and local human rights law commissions. We counsel and litigate issues related to restrictive covenants and trade secrets. We also provide preventive counseling on personnel matters, such as company policies and advice on personnel and human resource matters.
