Environmental Law Attorneys
The attorneys in our Environmental Law Practice Group represent the private and public sector in an array of environmental matters, including contaminated properties, air and water pollution, waste and chemical management, bulk storage tanks, asbestos, pesticides, and other hazardous materials. We also counsel on industrial discharge, oil spills, wetland issues, and coastal management and endangered species matters.
We represent purchasers, sellers and lenders in commercial and real estate transactions. Clients count on our counsel in the investigation and remediation of contaminated properties and brownfield development projects. We negotiate contract terms and complex consent orders, review environmental assessments and analyze insurance coverage.
We interact with environmental scientists and serve as agency counsel, appearing before federal, state and local agencies. Clients turn to our counsel in litigation commenced under the federal Superfund Law, the New York State Navigation Law, and other federal and state environmental statutes and theories. Our practice also has a unique concentration in the State Environmental Quality Review Act.
