Jennifer Bentley is of Counsel to our Labor and Employment Law Group. She serves as labor counsel for various employee organizations in the public sector, including County and Village police unions within the state of New York, as well as the union representing New York City Firefighters.
Her practice comprises the representation of public sector union clients in collective bargaining/contract negotiation, binding interest arbitration, administrative proceedings, litigation and appeals.
Ms. Bentley earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stony Brook University and her Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center where she served as Associate Editor of the Touro Law Review. Honored with the National Award for Excellence in the study of Labor Employment Law, as well as academic honors in Legal Methods, she also received multiple awards for her service to their Writing Skills Center.
Ms. Bentley serves as the board chair of the Long Island Advocacy Center (“LIAC”), a private not-for-profit agency which strives to protect the legal rights of students and individuals with disabilities. She also supports and volunteers her time with the Town of Hempstead’s Camp A.N.C.H.O.R. recreational summer program, dedicated to children and adults with special needs.
She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in Federal Court, both the Eastern and Southern Districts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Judicial Circuit.
