Sandra Pendrick is an Associate in our Estate & Tax Planning/Probate Law and Estate Administration Practice Groups.
Ms. Pendrick drafts wills, complex trust agreements and other estate planning vehicles. She plans for the disposition of wealth and the minimization of taxes through comprehensive pre-death and post mortem planning. She prepares estate and gift tax returns and handles gift and estate tax audits. Her surrogate’s court practice includes probate and guardianship proceedings, as well as all estate litigation matters including but not limited to will contests, actions brought by or against fiduciaries, and valuation disputes. She also assists in elder law matters.
For the first five years of her legal career, she was an attorney at two boutique trusts and estates law firms in Manhattan. She was also in-house counsel to the world-renowned artist, Peter Max.
Ms. Pendrick represented the Putnam Avenue Family Trust in claiming the Connecticut Powerball jackpot of $254,000,000. She assisted in drafting the Trust document which claimed the prize. She also advised the client in regard to numerous sophisticated estate planning strategies.
Active in her community, Ms. Pendrick and her family have been recognized for their fundraising efforts on behalf of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
She earned a Masters of Taxation from New York University, a Juris Doctor, with honors, from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of Michigan. She is admitted to practice in the state of New York, and in the Eastern District.
