November 05, East Meadow, NY – Lauren E. Monaghan, a resident of East Meadow, NY, has joined the Banking/Commercial Lending Practice Group at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP as an associate.

Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Monaghan was an Associate at a Garden City-based law firm where she represented clients in purchases and sales of residential real property and coops, lenders in residential refinances and purchases and also managed the firm’s real estate department staff.

She interned for the Nassau County District Attorney’s office; the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York; and for the Honorable Robin Kent at Nassau County Family Court in Westbury.

Ms. Monaghan earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 2012, and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, with a major in History and a minor in English, from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2009.

She was a member of Hofstra Law Women and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association where she served on the Women in the Law and Young Lawyers’ Committees. As an undergraduate, she earned History Department Honors, made the Dean’s List all eight semesters, and was a member of the Golden Globe International Honor Society, the National Honor Society for Collegiate Scholars, and Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society.

She is admitted to practice in the State of New York, United States District Court, Eastern District of New York.
