December 15, 2020, East Meadow — Maria de Dios has joined the Corporate/Securities Practice Group at Certilman Balin as an Associate. Prior to joining Certilman Balin, she was an Associate at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP in New York City.
Before working at Stroock, Ms. de Dios was an Associate at Baker & Hostetler LLP where she worked on both corporate and litigation matters. She was a member of the team serving as court-appointed counsel to the SIPA Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
Ms. de Dios concentrates on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance and other general corporate matters.
Ms. de Dios earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2016 and her Bachelor of Arts in English from Bryn Mawr College in 2007.
During law school, she completed internships at Morgan Stanley, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., and at the Brooklyn Law Incubator & Policy Clinic. She also served as the Symposium Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Financial & Commercial Law.
She is admitted to practice in the state of New York.
