Barresi Named One of Long Island’s “Who’s Who in Professional Services”

September 9, East Meadow, NY  — Kimberly Barresi, Partner in the Banking and Commercial Lending Group at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP, was included among the “Who’s Who in Women in Professional Services” by Long Island Business News in its August 26 issue.

Ms. Barresi’s practice concentrates on the areas of banking and commercial lending, real estate and environmental law, with an emphasis on the representation of lenders and borrowers in connection with the financing of commercial real estate and asset-based transactionsIn that capacity, she has closed many commercial finance transactions from start-up business transactions to complex real estate and business acquisitions and assisted with the structuring and documentation of environmental risk minimizing agreements.   

She has extensive experience with government guaranteed loans offered through the U.S. Small Business Administration 504 and 7(a) loan programs and is approved by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Designated Attorney for closing 504 loans in New York and New Jersey. She routinely advises lenders on eligibility matters and loan requirements in order to preserve and protect their government guarantees.  

Ms. Barresi earned her Juris Doctor and a Certificate in Environmental Law, cum laude, from Pace University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park. During that time, she worked as a legal intern for the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region II and the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic. On the Dean’s List, she served as Articles Editor for the Pace Environmental Law Review.  

She is admitted to practice in the states of New York and New Jersey 

From 2017 through 2021, Ms. Barresi was named to the New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Stars list and to its Women’s Edition in 2019 and 2020.
