CB Noreen Chen

Noreen Chen is a Partner in our Commercial Lending Practice Group. She concentrates her practice on representation of institutional lenders in multi-family and commercial real estate mortgage transactions. Additionally, she represents lenders in providing financing to condominium boards and home owners associations, secured by the pledge of common/maintenance charges and assessments. 

Prior to joining the firm, she was Counsel at Newtek Small Business Finance, LLC where she represented the Small Business Administration Preferred Lending Partner in SBA 7(a) business loan transactions. During her representation of the small business lender, she reviewed documents, including but not limited to, purchase agreements for real estate and/or business assets, commercial leases, entity formation documents, title reports for commercial and/or residential real estate, and ALTA policies to ensure that documents are in compliance with SBA Standard Operating Procedures and SBA Authorization. 

Prior to becoming Counsel at Newtek, Ms. Chen represented lenders in commercial and residential real estate transactions at two other law firms on Long Island.  

Ms. Chen earned her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Speech-Public Address from St. John’s University. As a Law Clerkshe practiced in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, discrimination and worker’s compensation cases. 

She is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
