Michelle L. Stieglitz, a Partner in the Real Estate Practice Group at Certilman Balin, represents clients in all aspects of real estate law, including, but not limited to, commercial leasing, residential and commercial real estate transactions, development, downtown revitalization projects, land use and real estate financing.
Active in her community, Ms. Stieglitz is a mentor in the Lawyer’s Involved in Kid’s Education (LIKE) program, an affiliation of the Long Island Mentoring Partnership, where she mentors “at risk” fourth and fifth grade students. She serves as Co-President of the Parent’s Association at her children’s school, The Bridges Academy in West Islip. In addition, Ms. Stieglitz has served on the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Luncheon Committee.
Prior to joining Certilman Balin, Ms. Stieglitz was a financial analyst at DraftFCB Worldwide, a leading global advertising agency and a subsidiary of the Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG). In her role, Ms. Stieglitz analyzed revenue variances amongst budgets, quarterly updates and actual data for global clients generating revenue streams averaging between twenty and eighty million dollars annually across the agency’s global network. Additionally, she worked with regional teams across the globe to consolidate and analyze revenue and corresponding expense data originating from organic growth and new business wins, as well as the impact of client losses.
Ms. Stieglitz earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Finance and Business Administration (with a dual concentration in Marketing and Management) from the John F. Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University in 2004. She earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Hofstra University School of Law in 2011, where she served as Associate Editor of the Hofstra Law Review.
Ms. Stieglitz was named as one of the “Ones to Watch, Fall 2022” by the New York Real Estate Law Journal, and she received that honor in 2019, as well. In 2018, she was named as one of Real Estate Weekly’s “Rising Stars in Real Estate.”
