Michael Lieberman is an Associate in the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group, where he focuses on commercial foreclosure, creditors’ rights, banking and financial services litigation, and other commercial disputes.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Lieberman represented financial institutions, private lenders, and equity fund managers in commercial foreclosure actions, loan enforcement matters, bankruptcy proceedings, and breach of contract disputes. His experience includes handling matters from inception through final disposition, preparing dispositive motions and foreclosure-related applications, conducting due diligence in connection with loan acquisitions, and appearing in New York state and federal courts.

Mr. Lieberman earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in December 2023. While at Touro Law, he served as a Senior Staffer on the Touro Law Review and was recognized for his academic achievements, including Dean’s List honors, membership in the Honors Society, an Achievement Scholarship for Academic Excellence, and a Merit Scholarship. He also received CALI Awards for Excellence in Evidence and Entertainment Law. In addition, he served as Treasurer of the Student Bar Association, Public Relations Representative for the Tax Law Society, and an Admissions Student Ambassador.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Economics, with a concentration in Finance, from the State University of New York at Oneonta in 2018. While at Oneonta, he served as President of the Finance Club and participated in the College Fed Challenge.

Mr. Lieberman is admitted to practice law in New York.
