Michael A. Amoroso is Of Counsel to our Real Estate, Land Use and Zoning Practice Groups. He is based in the Hauppauge office. 

Mr. Amoroso has over thirty years’ experience and concentrates his practice on matters related to commercial and residential sales and acquisitions, commercial leasing for both landlords and tenants, loan financing for borrowers, IDA matters and representation of developers with the Suffolk County Sewer Agency, including the negotiation and execution of connection agreements.  

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Amoroso was the Bureau Chief of the Suffolk County Department of Law’s Real Estate and Condemnation Bureau for six years. Under his management and supervision the Bureau was responsible for the acquisition of open space and farmland development rightsassistance with County involvement in affordable housing projects, and the providing of legal advice to various county departments and agencies including the preparation of formal and informal legal opinions related to real estate matters for the County Treasurer, County Clerk, Parks Department and the Suffolk County Sewer Agency. 

Before taking the helm as Suffolk County’s Bureau Chief, he practiced law for twenty years at two other Long Island law firms in the areas of commercial and residential real estate and general litigation matters including municipal law, personal injury, matrimonial and trusts and estates. 

Mr. Amoroso earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in psychology from the State University of New York at Albany. He is admitted to practice in the state of New York and before the Appellate Division, Second Department.
