Jordan Klein is an Associate in our Corporate/Securities Practice Group. Prior to joining Certilman Balin, he practiced as an Associate at Latham & Watkins, LLP in New York for four years where he represented public and private companies, including private equity firms and strategic investors, in connection with domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, dispositions and other general corporate matters. He also had a pro bono portfolio including representing not-for-profits in corporate matters as well as children in need of legal assistance in immigration court.
Prior to his position at Latham & Watkins, he interned at Certilman Balin, Detroit Venture Partners, and MFP Investors. From 2009 until 2011, he was the Principal and Co-Founder of Compass Management Group, a Detroit-based venture capital fund focused on early stage technology companies.
He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law in 2014 where he was a Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholar. He was honored with The Addison M. Metcalf Labor Law Prize.
He also simultaneously earned his Master of Business Administration from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business and was the recipient of a Dean’s Scholarship.
Mr. Klein graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2011 where he was involved with the Future Business Leaders of America and Michigan Interactive Investments.
He is admitted to practice in the state of New York.
