Jake S. Butera is an Associate in the Firm’s Corporate/Securities Practice Group, where his practice focuses on a range of corporate and transactional matters.
His experience includes business entity formation and structuring, corporate governance, and the preparation and negotiation of commercial agreements and other general corporate matters, including operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and related contracts. In addition, he focuses on mergers and acquisitions involving privately held companies, financing transactions, as well as matters relating to real estate-related entities and investments. He also serves as a mentor in the Firm’s LIKE (Lawyers Involved in Kids’ Education) program.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Butera gained experience through internships with the Bankruptcy and Mortgage Foreclosure Clinic at Touro Law Center, the Office of the Chief Town Attorney for the Town of Babylon, and a private law firm, where he worked on a variety of legal matters.
Mr. Butera earned his Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob Fuchsberg Law Center, where he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board and received a CALI Award for Excellence in Negotiations. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University.
