Desiree M. Gargano

Desiree M. Gargano is an Associate in our Employment Law and Litigation Practice Groups where she represents large and small employers in both commercial and employment litigation matters before federal courts, state courts, and administrative agencies.
Ms. Gargano concentrates her practice in the areas of discrimination, harassment, wage and  hour, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims. Ms. Gargano additionally provides preventative counseling to management and human resources professionals on various employment law issues.

Ms. Gargano is a member of the American Business Associates and the Nassau County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the United States  District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Ms. Gargano was named to the “Ones to Watch” listing of 2021 Best Lawyers.

Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Gargano worked at a national labor law firm representing management in employment matters.

During law school, Ms. Gargano served as the Treasurer and then President for the Environmental Law Society, and led the International Law Society as its Evening Vice President. Ms. Gargano also competed in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition and was a Staff Member of the Touro Law Review.  Ms. Gargano studied law abroad in India, and studied international politics and philosophy at the National University of Ireland in Galway as an undergraduate.
