Desiree M. Gargano is an Associate in our Employment Law and Litigation Practice Groups where she represents employers and employees in litigation before federal courts, state courts, and administrative agencies, and concentrates her practice in the areas of discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims. Ms. Gargano additionally provides preventative counseling to management and human resources professionals on various employment law issues. Before joining our firm, Ms. Gargano was an Associate at a national labor law firm.
Ms. Gargano earned her Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Long Island University.
While in law school, Ms. Gargano served as the Treasurer and then President for the Environmental Law Society, and led the International Law Society as its Evening Vice President. Ms. Gargano also competed in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition and was a Staff Member of the Touro Law Review. Ms. Gargano studied law abroad in India, and studied international politics and philosophy at the National University of Ireland at Galway as an undergraduate.
Ms. Gargano is a member of the American Business Associates and the Nassau County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in New York State and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
