CB Carrie Adduci

Carrie C. Adduci, a Partner in our Real Estate Practice Group, concentrates on acquisitions, sales and refinances of commercial and residential properties. She also represents developers with regard to the sale of their newly constructed residential homes, assists Sellers with like-kind exchanges under IRC Section 1031, and represents debtors and trustees in the liquidation of real property in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings.  Ms. Adduci regularly interfaces with the firm’s Condo/Co-op & HOA Department in the representation of Sponsors of condominiums and homeowner associations, the firm’s Corporate Department with respect to joint-venture agreements and entity formations, and the firm’s Bankruptcy and Trust and Estates Departments.

Prior to joining Certilman Balin, Ms. Adduci was a Real Estate Associate at a small Long Island law firm. In this position, she represented and advised purchasers, sellers, landlords and tenants in a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including those involving traditional real property, condominium units, and co-operative apartments.  She also represented numerous lenders in commercial and residential purchase money mortgage and refinancing transactions.

Ms. Adduci also co-taught a course in Applied Legal Analysis and taught a course in Drafting Real Estate Transactions at her alma mater, St. John’s University School of Law. She earned her Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law, cum laude, in 2012.  She earned her Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, with a major in Legal Studies and a minor in Theology, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA and earning an Honors Program diploma.

She served as Managing Editor of St. John’s Law Review and Vice Co-Chair of the Public Interest Committee. As a student she helped her peers to strengthen their writing skills, as a consultant in the Writing Center.

St. John’s Law School awarded Ms. Adduci with a Merit Based Scholarship, the ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award, and the St. John’s Gold Pro Bono Service Award. She was also on the Dean’s List.

During the summer of 2011, Ms. Adduci served as a Law Clerk at the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian in Chicago, Illinois. She was designated a guardian ad litem and attorney for children involved in protective proceedings in Cook County Juvenile Court.

Ms. Adduci was named to the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, as well as to the Rising Stars list of Metro New York Super Lawyers consecutively since 2021, and its 2023 Women’s Edition. She was also recognized with a Leadership in Law Award and as one of the “Who’s Who in Professional Women” by Long Island Business News, as well as one of the “Rising Stars” by Real Estate Weekly. In 2025, her continued achievements led to her recognition as a Premier Business Woman of Long Island by Richner Live.

She is admitted to practice in the state of New York and is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and New York State Bar Association.
