Anne M. Molloy - Long Island Litigation Lawyer - Certilman Balin

Anne M. Molloy is Of Counsel to our Litigation Group. Based in our Hauppauge office, she is an experienced litigator who has represented clients in actions involving real property, land use and environmental law.  

Prior to joining the firm, she was the Principal Law Clerk to the Honorable William B. Rebolini in New York State Supreme Court. Before that position, Ms. Molloy was the Principal Law Clerk to the Honorable John J.J. Jones, Jr. from 1997 until 2012. During this time, she drafted approximately 200 orders and judgments each month for the Judge’s consideration, and she managed an inventory of approximately 1700 civil cases in the areas of real property, land use, municipal law, commercial law, employment law, and labor law, among others. The New York State Governor’s State Judicial Screening Committee bestowed the designation of “Highly Qualified” upon her in 2013.

She began her career as an Assistant Town Attorney for Brookhaven Town from 1978 until 1980. She was an Associate Trial Attorney in private practice for approximately five years before becoming the Principal Law Clerk for the Honorable Harvey W. Sherman in Suffolk County Court from 1984 until 1992. She returned to private practice as a trial attorney, and then served as an Associate Court Attorney at New York State Supreme Court Law Department from 1994 until 1996. 

Ms. Molloy has taught business law, civil litigation, and legal research and writing courses at Suffolk Community College as an Adjunct Associate Professor. She has participated as a panelist on various continuing legal education courses given by the Suffolk Academy of Law and has published in her field. She is a former Director of the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association.

From the National Law Center at George Washington University, Ms. Molloy earned her Juris Doctor in 1978 where she served as a student delegate to the United Nations World Peace through Law Conference. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from St. John’s University in 1975.
