Stein Named to the Power 25 List in the Law

Howard M. Stein, Chair of the Real Estate Group and member of the Executive Committee at Certilman Balin, has been named to the 2022 List of the Power 25 in the Law. Every year, Long Island Business News honors 25 legal professionals who excel in their field and also give back to their community.

Mr. Stein’s diverse roster of clients count on his counsel in matters relating to real property acquisitions, downtown redevelopments, sales, leasing (including obtaining economic benefits incentives), real estate finance and loan workouts.  For closely held businesses and public companies, he structures complicated transactions for retail, industrial, office, hotel, wineries and residential developments. He is also actively involved in all legal facets of Assisted Living Communities and Senior Condominium Living.

At Touro Law Center, Mr. Stein teaches courses in Real Estate Law. He also serves as Chairman of its Board of Governors.  Mr. Stein was appointed by the Suffolk County Executive to serve on the Board of Directors of the Suffolk Judicial Facilities Agency. He is on the Board for the Association for a Better Long Island, an advocacy group for the real estate development community.  Also an advocate of Smart Growth, Mr. Stein serves as a board member of Vision Long Island.

He actively champions for charitable causes. Mr. Stein is a member of the President’s Council of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island, and was honored with its Presidential Award.  Long Island Cares bestowed upon him The Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award. The American Heart Association honored him at its Go Red for Women Luncheon.
