Lisa S. Hunter is a Partner in the Trusts and Estates and Elder Law Practice Groups. She concentrates in all aspects of trusts, estates, tax, and succession planning, primarily for high net worth individuals. A member of the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County and the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations, Ms. Hunter serves on the Tax Law and Surrogate’s Court, Estates and Trusts Committees of the Nassau County Bar Association. She is a frequent lecturer in the area of estate tax planning and is often called upon by the media for her expert commentary. 

Paul S. Linzer is Chair of the Labor Law Group. He concentrates his practice on all aspects of public sector labor law litigation, as well as criminal defense litigation. Mr. Linzer serves as labor counsel and/or general counsel to a variety of public sector labor unions and their membership. These include the Uniformed Firefighters Association of Greater New York, Local 94, as well as various County, Town, and Village-level Police unions, and the supervisors’ union from the New York City Department of Correction.

Douglas E. Rowe is a Partner in the Labor and Employment Group.  His broad range of expertise includes claims alleging discrimination based upon race, sex, religion, national origin, age and disability, as well as sexual harassment, wage and hour issues, labor arbitrations, and defense of employment-related claims under federal and state statutes. He is frequently quoted in the media about the #MeToo movement and legislation affecting employers and employees.  

J. Timothy Shea is Chair of the Land Use and Zoning Group, and he also practices in our Real Estate Group and is based in our Hauppauge office. In his real estate law practice, Mr. Shea concentrates on land use and zoning matters and real property litigation 

Donna J. Turetsky,  Partner in the Trusts and Estates and Elder Law Practice Groups, has been named to the 2023 Best Lawyers. Recognition by Best Lawyers is based entirely on peer review.Ms. Turetsky concentrates her practice on trust and estate administration, elder law, estate planning, special needs planning and guardianships. Ms. Turetsky has been appointed numerous times to serve as Guardian Ad Litem through the Surrogate’s Court. In her elder law practice, Ms. Turetsky counsels seniors and their families. She assists these clients in the preservation of assets in the face of possible long-term care needs. She is also experienced in Medicaid and Special Needs Planning, and prepares applications for both home care and nursing home care. 

2024 Ones to Watch

Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch awards the Purely Peer Review® methodology to highlight excellence in legal talent for lawyers who are earlier in their careers. Like traditional Best Lawyers awards, “Ones to Watch” awarded lawyers are recognized for their work in specific area of law.

Carrie C. Adduci, a Partner in the Real Estate Practice Group, concentrates on acquisitions, sales and refinances of commercial and residential properties. She also represents developers with regard to the sale of their newly constructed residential homes. Ms. Adduci also co-taught a course in Applied Legal Analysis at her alma mater, St. John’s University School of Law. She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude in 2012 and her Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, with a major in Legal Studies and a minor in Theology.

John C. Stellakis is an Associate in the Land Use and Zoning Practice Group and is based in our Hauppauge office. His primary practice areas include preparing, coordinating, and presenting municipal land use and Suffolk County health department applications, and prosecuting and defending litigation concerning municipal entitlements, environmental determinations, and real property disputes. Mr. Stellakis concentrates his land use practice in the Towns of Brookhaven, Islip, and Babylon, and his litigation practice encompasses Article 78 proceedings and plenary actions regarding constitutional and property rights. Mr. Stellakis teaches as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Touro Law Center. Mr. Stellakis earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Philosophy and Political Science from Villanova University.

Joshua Feldman is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. His practice includes a diverse range of commercial litigation matters in addition to employment law and wage and hour litigation before federal, state, and appellate courts. Mr. Feldman earned a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in history from Yale University.
